Jhene Aiko is a well known R&B singer and songwriter. Jhene was born in Los Angeleas California. Jhene became globally known after her first EP Sailing Souls in 2011. Over 1.2 million people on Genius have listened to this EP alone.
Jhene became a singer at the age of 12 years old. She signed with Epic records and sung back ground vocals for popular boy group B2K. At the age of 15 Jhene asked Epic records to please release her from the record label due to her falling behind in her High School studies. In this day and time our generation does not have a lot of artist we can relate to like Jhene. No matter what mood I am in I can find a song by Jhene and that song completely relates to my mood. Her lyrics are real and true. On the long days that I am working late or in class all day away from my children. I put Promises by Jhene on repeat.
